Areal skogliga nyckelbiotoper

Indikator SE. 3.2. 3

I Botkyrka kommun har Skogsstyrelsen fram till slutet av 2017 totalt registrerat 180 stycken nyckelbiotoper med en total areal på 569 hektar.

Skogsstyrelsen har också registrerat 152 objekt med naturvärden på totalt 270 hektar. Objekt med naturvärden är biotoper vars miljö idag inte riktigt når upp till nyckelbiotopsstandard. Får de utvecklas fritt eller med naturvårdsinriktad skötsel utvecklas de troligen till nyckelbiotoper inom en snar framtid.

Skogsstyrelsen har dock inte haft möjlighet att finkamma all skog i kommunen, utan det kan finnas livsmiljöer med höga naturvärden som inte avgränsats som nyckelbiotop eller naturvärdesobjekt. De naturvärden som inte upptäckts är dock svåra att ta hänsyn till vid skogsbruksåtgärder eller andra åtgärder i skogsmarken.
